To install the metal column outlet tube in the column compartment:
Warning: To prevent burn injuries, allow sufficient time for the column to cool before opening the compartment door. The column, compartment, tubing, fittings, and door liner can be hot.
Warning: To avoid personal contamination with biologically hazardous, toxic, or corrosive materials, and to avoid spreading contamination to uncontaminated surfaces, wear clean, chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves when performing this procedure.
Stop primary solvent flow through the system and allow the column and compartment temperature to drop below 55 °C.
Open the column compartment door.
Disconnect the column outlet tube's fitting from the detector's flow cell inlet.
Disconnect the tube from the column, and then remove it from the two clips in the detector and the four fasteners at the top of the column compartment.
Install the replacement metal column outlet tube by reversing the actions performed in the previous two steps:
Connect the tube to the column, and then route it into the column compartment's top four fasteners and the detector's two clips.
